PLAYTIME Press Release

The 7th edition of Playtime, the professional trade show dedicated to

the universes of children, junior and future mothers, is marked by

the theme of monsters, eerie characters and strangeness; it will

take place from January 30th to February 1st 2010 at the Parc Floral

de Paris. Monstrously beautiful, curiously trendy, strangely

inevitable !

The maternity space

is developping and growing strong by welcoming a selection of today's best international

A unique website

The list of exhibitors of the playtimeparis.com website has now become a unique work tool for buyers who

will not find in any other trade show the ways and means which Playtime is offering them to prepare their

arrival and purchases :

Each brand name is enhanced with different coloured dots which indicate the universe of each collection:

children clothes, maternity, childcare, organic, deco/design, junio, etc.

Four pictures for each brand appear and, on top of the alphabetical search, one can choose to have only the

brands of a specific universe to be displayed.

The indispensable tool for professionals preparing for the trade show !

Animations and special events

The Visitor's Guide involves artists

For the last 2 seasons already Playtime has been sending its "Visitor's Kit" to over 12.000 international professionals of

the child universe. Upgrading from 12 to 44 pages this season, the kit becomes a booklet and involves artists from different

universes revealing their secrets on the capital. They share with us their latest good addresses for restaurants, hotels,

must-see exhibitions, unique places...

Fashion artists, cinema artists, catering, writing, web, press, illustration artists... Cyril Lignac, Anne-Valérie Hash,

Rossy de Palma, Jérôme L’Huillier amongst others are participating in the guide. Many different visions and

ideas of what to do, to see, to taste and places to sleep, to rest, dream, chill, and cuddle.

A monstruous pile for the Red Cross

Exhibitors and visitors are mobilising for the Red Cross ; the aim is to bring to Playtime

pieces from past collections, unsold stocks, in short anything that can increase our

monstruous pile ! Those clothes will have a second life with the children from the different

branches of the Red Cross on the french territory.

Strangely fun !

Saturday night at Playtime is always an opportunity to gather round a glass of

champagne and this season children too will have the occasion to have fun just like

adults do. After having children dance in the best clubs of the capital (Le Chacha,

La Favela Chic...), So Chic Kidz will be having its "Every Child is a superhero" party at the

Playtime trade show Saturday 30 January from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.. A professional DJ, a candy bar,

prizes to win, pom-pom girls to lead the dance, etc, all the ingredients are there for the children to have a

fun and unforgettable time.

Editor for a day at Vogue Bambini

Since the beginning of Playtime we have always wished to enable buyers to share their view points on the universe

of children with us through participation. This season the idea with Vogue Bambini is to transform the buyers into

one-day reporters by entrusting photo cameras to them to take pictures of their crushes.

A selection of the photographies, with the names of the one-time journalists, will then be published in the March

issue of Vogue Bambini.

Monstrously good

A friendly monster designed for the occasion by Laure Guilhot and a photographer, those are the main

ingredients Kid’s Wear magazine will be using to build a wall of pictures of the visitors alongside a monster.

3 days, no more and no less, to achieve that monstrous tapestry ! All pictures will then be on Kid's Wear's blog

Surprisingly relaxing

January 2010 is also:

There is already a feeling of party when one thinks of the wonderful space for the organic cakes and cupcakes

by Chloé.S. We will savour them while drinking a free KUSMI tea and it will also be the occasion to discover

the special Playtime cupcake !

The monstruous picture by Kid's Wear Magazine

We choose to say no to stress and small pains by creating an enclosed massage space, available only by

appointment during the show, to allow each and every one to relax a bit and start off agin full of energy !

- Trend spaces proposed by Julie Malait using original set-ups by different artists, under the leadership

of Marie Czapska.

- A free entrance to the show and numerous services (shuttle from the metro, partnerships with

hotels, the SNCF, Air France, etc...).

- A changing space for babies, sponsored by the the brand Virginale ; an opportunity to try

some of their entirely natural products.
